Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ready salted peanuts (you can substitute with dry roasted peanuts or boiled peanuts)
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 medium cucumber, finely chopped
  • 1 small capsicum, finely choped
  • 2 medium Green chilies, finely chopped
  • ½ cup fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 3 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin (Jeera) powder

Steps

  • For boiled peanuts, place peanuts and water in a saucepan, bring it to boil on medium heat. Boil for 20 minutes or until peanuts turns soft and tender.
  • Drain the water, transfer salty/dry roasted/boiled peanuts to a wide bowl.
  • Add chopped green chillies, onion, tomato, capsicum and cucumber.
  • Now add salt, chaat masala, and roasted cumin powder.
  • Juice lemon over peanuts and vegetables and mix them well.
  • Enjoy spicy, tangy, chatpata peanut chaat with masala chai or on its own.
